While all the guests at the Flying B Ranch are certainly special, some of them are particularly noteworthy. Beginning in February, 2008 and in connection with their appearance at the Daytona 500 Race, the Budweiser Clydesdales team has selected the Flying B Ranch as their home base when they are working in and along this part of Florida. Although they sometimes travel with a lesser number of horses and support vehicles, the normal contingent in the Budweiser Clydesdale troupe is comprised of 10 horses, one dog, three large tractor-trailer rigs, a staff of 6 to 8 people, and several other support vehicles. Because of the Flying B Ranch layout, the Clydesdales are not only housed and cared for during their stays, but they can also be exercised right here on the ranch property – an important part of their long-distance traveling regime. The Wells Fargo Stagecoach Team, which consists of between 4 and 6 horses, has also selected the Flying B Ranch for their layovers during their travels through the area. |
